VENICE (FOX 13) – Molly Kraut’s journey from Venice veterinarian to small-business owner began when she realized how difficult it was to find pet food made in America. Her complaints turned to action when her daughter gave her some advice. “My daughter said one time, ‘Mom, you can keep complaining or you can do something about it,’” Kraut said Thursday. “I think everybody has the idea that they want to shop American but it’s tough to do.” She decided to try to make it easier on customers by opening US Mart, which only sells products made in the USA. “Our slogan is, ‘American Products, American Prices, American Pride.’ We’re trying to be a store that…

Clyde Ohio Manufacturing Clyde, Ohio....Manufacturing Juggernaut! Clyde, Ohio....home of the largest home washing machine and dryer factory in the world! That's right, Whirlpool owns this huge factory, employing 3000 people in the little town 80 miles west of Cleveland. The company also markets washers under the Kenmore, Amana and others made in this factory....in America. Revere Plastics, a supplier to MadeInUSAShop and Whirlpool, is also located in Clyde, Ohio. One of the MadeInUSAShopMart families purchased a Whirpool appliance recently, and has only compliments on its operation and energy saving. US Mart is excited to see the various events and celebrations being held around the country to recognize Marine Week. This year, Marine Week is being recognized June 11-17. Events we have heard and read of include parades, exhibits, speaking by current and former US Marines, and even staged combat exercises. There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa . For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight.
